Simplify

There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all – Peter Drucker

5A – Declutter
Minimalism – getting rid of things you do not use or need. It’s using simple tools, having a simple wardrobe, carrying little and living lightly.
The life-changing magic of tidying up – ask “does it spark joy?”; if not, get rid of it.

5B – 80/20 your life
80/20 principle – 80% of results come from 20% of your actions. So, get rid of the rest, and focus your efforts on the right 20%. Taken to its extreme, ask yourself:
“What ONE thing will make everything else easier or unnecessary?” and focus on that.
If you’re not feeling “hell yeah!” then say no (it’s good to say yes when you’re starting out). Leave slack in your schedule, so you have capacity to exploit opportunities that come up.
This also applies to people, but it’s not always easy to remove someone without consequences.
The most effective actions tend to be important, but not urgent, you’ll need to consciously prioritize them.

5C – Delete/Delay/Delegate
Ask yourself: in 10 years, will this matter? the answer is almost inevitably, no
Practice letting small bad things happen.
If something keeps coming back to your mind, but you don’t want to commit, move it to your “someday/maybe” list, and commit to reviewing the list every year.
If you can delegate, do it more often. If you can’t, consider getting a virtual assistant.
